Herjólfsson later sold his ships to Ericson, who sailed west intentionally and was not blown off course trying to reach Greenland after meeting King Olaf, as in the Saga of Eric the Red. With wood being in very short supply in Greenland, the settlers there were eager to explore the riches of this new land. Ericson explored this coast and eventually established a short-lived colony in what he called Vinland.

The Vikings are a variety of pirates and they caught over lands. They did not only steal and assault people. They were peasants, sailors, traders and more. Some even converted sovereign guards to the Byzantine emperor. And they frequently grow from Denmark. In the year 1000, Leif Eriksson was cruising from west Norway to Greenland but his ship ran off course due to heavy winds and he arrived on North American shore. He traveled farther south and dwelled in a coastal area he named Vinland.

What do race car drivers like to do math sheet simplifying expressions?
olasank [31]

A race car driver is part of a team which takes care of the minimum details in order to become more and more competitve and math has everything to do with it.

The driver needs to discuss and calculate with his team of engineers the amount of fuel needed to complete a race or until the next stop, how this amount of gas will impact the car's weight, the pressure on the tires to support a specific type of track, the average speed of the car and so many other aspects that rely on one thing: Math.

Math tought in every regular school is present on a Nascar or Formula One championship in its simple ways and the pilot plays a huge role on it, not only because he calculates through simple math expressions, but also because he has to analyze all the data captured by his engineering team.

myrzilka [38]
The theory of motivation that Jordan's behavior is consistent with is the arousal theory. The arousal theory enables a person to have the feeling of excitement or to be drawn to a particular thing that could be of interest to him or her and it would lead him or her to feel the opposite way if he or she does not feel excited about the activity that he or she is doing or what he or she makes him feel aroused or excited. It could be seen at Jordan's behavior above.
