Describe the relationships with Native Americans after America won its independence
Sergeeva-Olga [200]

Lots of conflict between who gets what land. King George Ill made a boundary line so the colonists couldn't have any contact with Native Americans, but after Americans won their independence, that line was no longer in effect. Americans wanted to expand westward to explore new land, but Native Americans wanted to be independent. Andrew Jackson then made reservations for the Native Americans, and that's how the Trail of Tears started. This was all because of American greed. So, to put it in shorter terms, it was a cat fight, but it was a house cat verusus a lion.

All of the following statements about the Louisiana Purchase are true EXCEPT: A. it was opposed by many Federalist legislators.
Anon25 [30]

Answer:

B. it revealed President Jefferson's aggressive style in supporting national interests

Explanation:

Answer B must be incorrect for one main reason. Jefferson was a strong believer in state's rights and did not support strong national interests. Additionally, all of the other statements are true. Many federalists claimed that Jefferson could not do this because the constitution did not explicitly say that the president could buy land. Also, this purchase did double the US's land mass but much of the land was in the dust bowl and was not good farm land.

Why does having a life tenure in office for a Supreme Court Justice make them an apolitical body?
lina2011 [118]

The answer is D.  This is because we want the Supreme Court Justices to be impartial.  They should be allowed to go against the President or Congress without fear of not being reelected.
