<span>The Boston Port Act refers to the series of laws that closed Boston harbors. It required colonists to put up British soldiers in their homes and allowed British officials accused of crimes to be tried in Britain. It became a law in 1774 and is considered as one of the Intolerable Acts that secured Great Britain’s jurisdiction over America. </span>
