Wendell Phillips was pro women's rights. He believed that if we came this far to be free, then all should have that freedom. From the quote itself you can see that he is Pro women's rights due to the fact that he states if you give woman the ability or power to vote and speak there mind men will see they have something worth listening to, and allow them to proceed.

Presidents have done much to help the cause of civil rights in America.  President Harry S. Truman ended segregation both in the military as well as the government.  John F. Kennedy and even Lyndon Johnson did much to enforce the law to allow Black students to study with whites as well called out the National Guards to help Black Americans register and vote.
