So, there is a 3 foot extra area around the 12 by 15 foot pool. That means we add 3 to each side length and find the sum of the side lengths for our perimeter.

The non-slip area would now be 15 by 18 feet(we added 3 to both variables) and so two sides are 15 feet long and the other 2 are 18 feet long

15+15=30

18+18= 36

30+36= 66

We have now found the perimeter of the non-slip area.

Answer: The perimeter of the non-slip area around the pool is 66 feet.

What is the image point of (5,2) after a translation left 1 unit and down 2 units?
alexira [117]

Answer:

(4, 0 )

Step-by-step explanation:

A translation of 1 unit left, subtract 1 from the original x- coordinate

A translation of 2 units down, subtract 2 from the original y- coordinate

The rule is (x, y ) → (x - 1, y - 2 ), thus

(5, 2 ) → (5 - 1, 2 - 2 ) → (4, 0 )
