<u>Answer:</u>

The first step in allopatric speciation is "geographic isolation".

<u>Explanation:</u>

Allopatric speciation happens when a population is geographically separated therefore also termed as "geographical isolation", it is also the very first step. In the laboratory, for instance, an isthmus that divides an ocean or fruit flies. The cultures on both ends of the barrier can not then balance one another, so each population develops independently.

Different geographical fluctuations may occur, such as continent movement and the creation of mountains, islands, water bodies, or glaciers. Human activity such as farming or growth can also alter the allocation of population groups of species.

What enzyme or function is being affected in mutant (a), causing many mismatched base pairs?
igor_vitrenko [27]
DNA polymerase is the enzyme that is responsible for adding correct nucleotide pairs to new and growing DNA strands. Mismatched base pair errors will occur if this enzymes is not able to function optimally. There are other system that work DNA polymerase, these are proof reading system and mismatch repair system. Less than optimum function of these system will lead to uncorrected mismatched base pairs.

Blood is transformed into a solid gel when, at the site of vessel damage, plasma ____________ is converted to ____________ , whi
umka2103 [35]
<span>Hemostasis is the process of the body that seals blood vessels that rupture. The process is basically starts with an injury, then vascular spasm, platelet plug formation and then coagulation.

During blood clot formation, blood is transformed into solid gel at site of damage, where plasma fibrinogen is converted into loose fibrin molecules, which bind together to form mesh. Platelets and blood cells get trapped here by the fibrin strands, which produces a clot. This part of the clot formation is called coagulation.

In what way do adaptations help the survival of a species?
ozzi

Adaptations help the survival of a species as "It increases the biodiversity of the species".

<u>Answer:</u> Option C

<u>Explanation:</u>

The phenomenon that support the organisms to find similar and favourable environment to acquire food, build home, satisfy with weather, feel safe and attract mates to produce more offspring in order to improve evolutionary fitness is called as an "Adaptation".

The three main forms of adaptations are behavioural, structural, and physiological adaptations that are based on the way how genetic variation get communicated. Many species have all those types of combinations. For an instance, behavioural adaptations are bird's calling and migration.
