Answer:

The correct answer is saturated fats.

Explanation:

The plasma membrane known as the cell membrane is a covering that surrounds and delimits the cell by separating it from the external environment. It works as a barrier between the interior of the cell and its environment as it allows the entry and exit of molecules through it .

This membrane has several different functions. One of them is the transport of nutrients within the cell and another is the transport of toxic substances outside the cell. The plasma membrane has proteins that allows it to interact with other cells. These proteins can be glycoproteins, which means that there is a sugar and a protein fraction, or they can also be lipoproteins, which means that there is a fat and a protein.

Those proteins found outside the plasma membrane allow cells to interact with other cells. The cell membrane also provide structural support to the cell. There are different types of plasma membranes in different types of cells, the plasma membrane has, in general, a large amount of cholesterol that it uses as its lipid source.

Kisachek [45]

Answer: Placebo effect

John is experiencing placebo effect where the pill that contains no pain killing medication has given pain relief to John. A placebo is a substance with no therapeutic effect but sometimes improves patient’s condition. This is due to patient’s expectation that the pill they take can help or ease the pain they have even if no active ingredient is present.

Therefore, the effect is more than positive thinking or believing that a treatment will work by creating a stronger connection between the brain and body as they work together.
