This means that it takes into account the differences among individual members of the society and ranks individuals, thereby creating a social hierarchy.

This results to so many things. For example, people in the same level or strata tend to have same type of jobs and probably same income.

Social mobility is the movement of people in the society. And this could be horizontal mobility, which is the movement within the same status, and vertical mobility, which is the movement from one social level to another.
