Surface Area Formula:
A= 2 ( lw + lh + wh )

l = length
w = width
h = height

Step 1.) plug in what you know

A = 2 ( lw + l 22 + w 22 )

Step 2.) find the length & width

- look at the area.
- a rectangles area is made up of the length and width being multiplied together.
- by saying this, I’m going to estimate how much the length and width would be, and make sure they will add up to 22 when multiplied.
- so, I’m going to say that the length is 11, and the width is 2.

Step 3.) plug in everything and then solve

A= 2 (11•2) + (11•22) + (2•22)

To solve, you are going to first multiple everything in parentheses like so:

A= 2 (22) + (242) + (44)

And then you are going to multiply everything by the 2 like so:

A= (44) + (484) + (88)

And then you are going to combine them all together (by adding) and get:

A= 616

and that is your answer.

Construct a 96% confidence interval if a sampling distribution has a mean of 20, a standard deviation of 5, and a size of 100.
MAXImum [283]

Using the t-distribution, the 96% confidence interval is given as follows:

(18.96, 21.04).

<h3>What is a t-distribution confidence interval?</h3>

The confidence interval is:

\overline{x} \pm t\frac{s}{\sqrt{n}}

In which:

  • \overline{x} is the sample mean.
  • t is the critical value.
  • n is the sample size.
  • s is the standard deviation for the sample.

The critical value, using a t-distribution calculator, for a two-tailed 96% confidence interval, with 100 - 1 = 99 df, is t = 2.0812.

The parameters are given as follows:

\overline{x} = 20, s = 5, n = 100

Hence the bounds of the interval are:

\overline{x} - t\frac{s}{\sqrt{n}} = 20 - 2.0812\frac{5}{\sqrt{100}} = 18.96

\overline{x} + t\frac{s}{\sqrt{n}} = 20 + 2.0812\frac{5}{\sqrt{100}} = 21.04

DEF = BAC : x = 15 <==

once u allign ur triangles, u will see that there is a scale factor of 1.5.
6 * 1.5 = 9

1.5(x - 5) = 15
1.5x - 7.5 = 15
1.5x = 15 + 7.5
1.5x = 22.5
x = 22.5/1.5
x = 15 <==
