The answer is: a small group of people

An oligarchal system has government run by a few powerful citizens or families. This minority depending on the extent can rule over a land, kingdom, empire, or nation. An oligarchy is a form of power structure in which power rests with a small number of people ( it has some similarities to a monopoly, and is contrary to a representative democracy). These people may be distinguished by nobility, wealth, family ties, education or corporate, religious or political, military control. We can see many examples of oligarchy in today's world although the term is also associated to a concept used to refer to criticism of the current state of things (when we hear the term putative oligarchies. it is often referred to countries like Russian Federation, Ukraine or even The United States. As we can read:

The answer is D. A small group of people holds state power in an oligarchy.

EXPLANATION

Oligarchy refers to a form of the power structure, in which a small group of people holds the power. This small group of people may be differentiated from others by their education, corporate, religious, wealth, nobility, political, and military control.

These types of people are usually the ones who receive their status from their parents. These types of families pass their influence from the older generation to the younger generation. Inheritance is not an important condition to apply this term.

The consolidation of power can also be called a form of oligarchy. This can be done by an ethnic minority or even a dominant religion. The United States has also often described as an oligarchy.

Basically, an oligarchy is the structure of power that will allow several families, individuals, or even businesses to rule the country. The small group does have enough power to turn the benefit of the whole country to them. The benefit will be given to them and not to other members.

The small group of people will maintain their power over the country with maintaining relationships. By maintaining relationships with each other, then the small group will succeed to remain as the ruler of the country. An Oligarchy is truly taken from a Greek word, oligarchs, which means “few governing”.

A patient with hyperparathyroidism, a disease where too much pth is produced, would be expected to have ______.
Ira Lisetskai [31]

A patient with hyperparathyroidism, a disease where too much pth is produced, would be expected to have a decrease in bone mass and increased calcium levels in the blood.

Explanation:

This results from increased pth levels that cause an excess of parathyroid hormone to be produced (PTH).

PTH throws off the body's normal mineral balance, which can cause lower bone density and more calcium being absorbed from the digestive tract.

What is hyperparathyroidism and what are its symptoms?

 • One or more of your parathyroid glands may become overactive and secrete an excessive amount of parathyroid hormone if you have hyperparathyroidism (PTH).
 • This results in hypercalcemia, a condition where your blood calcium levels increase.
 • Chronic fatigue, bodily aches, trouble sleeping, bone pain, memory loss, lack of concentration, depression, and headaches are among the most typical hyperparathyroidism symptoms.
 • In addition, kidney failure, hypertension, osteoporosis, kidney stones, and cardiac arrhythmias are all frequently brought on by parathyroid illness.
