Which sentence is punctuated correctly?

English
1 answer:
sergejj [24]3 years ago
5 0

Answer:

b. That cartoon with the talking dog is hilarious, yes?

Explanation:

The option chosen possesses a comma to separate the sentence from the word yes, which works like a question tag. Thus, it intends to confirm or check understanding of the information from the sentence, so that the listener agrees with or him or her.

The rest of the sentences are incorrectly punctuated because the final checking yes/no question is not separated from the rest of the sentence. Meanwhile, option D wrongly separates the subject from the predicate with a comma.

Need help this is sooo hard
Book : The Giver
mario62 [17]

Answer:

Look below:

Explanation:

1. The climax of the story is when Jonas realized that "Release" of the newborn is actually killing. But worst of all was when he realized that his father was the one doing the release of the newborns. Jonas was shocked when the Giver showed him a recording of the private ceremony.

2. I cannot help with dialogue because I do not have the book but just find a quote from Jonas and the giver in this section of the story.

3. Back up your quotes used.

4. Now you need to use your evidence in 2 and 3 to use a format called "RACES" typically used in Jr. High. (I'm assuming you're 7th grade)

R- Restate your point

A- Answer the question

C- Cite evidence (quote)

E- Explain your quotes/evidence

S- Sum it up. Tie it all in together and go over what you said.

I truly hope this helps you. I suggest you attempt some work on your own even if you fail because failure is better than passing while doing no work. In state testing or the EOC (end of course test) you will be dependent on your own. Good luck!
