The graph below shows the amount of money left in the school’s desk fund, f, after d desks have been purchased. A graph titled D

esk Fund Amount. The horizontal axis shows the number of desks purchased (d), numbered 1 to 9, and the vertical axis shows the dollars left in fund (f) numbered 100 to 800. Blue diamonds appear at points (0, 700), (1, 590), (2, 480), (3, 370), (4, 260), (5, 150), (6, 40). For each new desk that is purchased, by how much does the amount of money left in the school’s desk fund decrease? $110 $135 $165 $190

Answer:

$110

Step-by-step explanation:

The computation is shown below:

Provided that

Number of desk purchased    Fund Left $

           0                                   700

           1                                    590

           2                                   480

           3                                   370

           4                                   260

           5                                   150

           6                                    40

Now the Fund decreased while purchasing is

= 5 desks - 2 desks

= 3 desks

i.e

= $480 - $150

= $330

Now the amount of money left for decreased the desk fund is

= \frac{Fund\ decreased }{number\ of\ desk\ decreased}

= \frac{\$330}{3\ desk}

= $110

Answer:

  • no solutions
  • 1, 14=0
  • 2, 7=0

Step-by-step explanation:

The first blank is correctly filled with "no solutions."

The two requested values of x can be <em>any numbers of your choice</em> (except 0). Above, we have chosen x=1, which makes the equation 14/1 = 0, or 14 = 0 when simplified.

And we have chosen x=2, which makes the equation 14/2 = 0, or 7 = 0 when simplified.

__

In short, there are <em>an infinite number of correct answers</em> to this question.

Are the triangles Similar? (yes or no). If yes, by what
kakasveta [241]

Answer:

The triangles are not similar

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

If two triangles are similar, then the ratio of its corresponding sides is proportional and its corresponding angles are congruent

<em>Triangle X.Y.Z</em>

\angle X=61^o

\angle Z=90^o

\angle Y=90^o-61^o=29^o ---> angle X and angle Y are complementary angles

<em>Triangle H.G.J</em>

\angle H=90^o-34^o=56^o ---> angle H and angle J are complementary angles

\angle G=90^o

\angle J=34^o

so

X.Y.Z is a61^o-90^o-39^o triangle

H.G.J is a56^o-90^o-34^o triangle

The measure of its corresponding angles are not congruent

therefore

The triangles are not similar

You would want to divide the minutes to the songs so you can find out how long one song is, but sense there was a remainder you could turn it into a fraction or you could keep diving. In this case you would want to stop. To find the fraction here is a formula the divisor is the denominator, the numerator is the remainder and the whole number is the number you get that is behind the remainder

Which of the following describes the end behavior over the domain of the square root function graphed above? Please HELP!!!!!!!!
PilotLPTM [1.2K]
Short Answer A
Comment

It's a good thing that the domain is confined or the graph is. That function is undefined if x < - 3

At exactly x = - 3, f(x) = 0 and that's your starting point.

So look what happens to this graph. If x = 0, f(0) =  y = 3. So we are starting to see that as x get's larger so does f(x). The graph tells us that x = 0 is bigger than x = - 3.

Let's keep on plugging things in.
As x increases to 5, f(5) = 5. x = 5 is larger than x = 0, and f(5) > 3.

One more and then we'll start drawing conclusions. If x = 9 then f(9) = y =  6.
x = 9 is larger than x = 5. f(9) = 6 is just larger than f(5) which is 5

OK I think we should be ready to look at answers. There's nothing there that makes the answer anything but a. Let's find out what the problem is with the rest of the choices.

B
The problem with B is that as x increases, f(x) does not decrease. We didn't find one example of that. So B is wrong.

C
C has exactly the same problem as B.

D
The second statement in D is incorrect. As x increases f(x) never decreases. No example showed that.
