300=x+1.9x
I got this by dividing the problem into two parts x[the speed of the first half] plus 1.9x [the speed of the second half increased by 1.9] both of those together should give you 300.
I went further and solved this...If you placed 103.5 into this problem for x you should get 300.15!

Solve the equation: 13W - 2(4W + 1) = W - 58 *
Sergio [31]

Answer:

W = - 14

Step-by-step explanation:

13W - 2(4W + 1) = W - 58

13W - 8W - 2 = W - 58

13W - 8W - W = 2 - 58

4W = - 56

W = - 56 : 4

W = - 14

The answer is 19y – 9.

First, distribute the -3 to ( -4y + 3 ). So:
= ( 12y – 9 ) + 7y

Then, combine like terms. In this case, the like terms are 12y and 7y. So:
= 12y – 9 + 7y
= 19y – 9

What is the local maximum over the interval [–3, 1.5] for the graphed function? 0 56 –11.4 2
vesna_86 [32]

Based on the above, the  the local maximum over the interval [–3, 1.5] for the graphed function is known to be 56.

<h3>What is the Local maximum about?</h3>

The local maximum is known to be a term that connote the maximum value of the function that is often seen over an interval.

In this case, the interval is (-3,1.5).

Because the function value show the y-value on graph, then we have to find for maximum y-value on curve.

And looking at the curve, the maximum is 56 at (-1.6,56).

Therefore, the local maximum value is 56.

After returning from the Apple Emporium, Austin looked at his receipt and discovered that he paid $1.10 for two Jonagold apples,
Stolb23 [73]

Answer: Austin spent $7.2 on his second trip to the Apple Emporium

Step-by-step explanation:

Austin paid $1.10 for two Jonagold apples. This means that the cost of one Jonagold apple is

1.10/2 = $0.55

He paid 6.75 for nine Gravenstein apples. This means that the cost of one Gravenstein apple is

6.75/9 = $0.75

He paid $3.85 for seven Rome Beauty apples. This means that the cost of one Rome Beauty apple is

3.85/7 = $0.55

Austin then decided to return to the Apple Emporium to purchase four more Jonagold apples, three more Gravenstein apples, and five more Rome Beauty apples.

Amount spent on four more Jonagold apples is

0.55 × 4 = $2.2

Amount spent on three more Gravenstein apples is

0.75 × 3 = $2.25

Amount spent on five more Rome Beauty apples is

0.55 × 5 = $2.75

The amount that Austin spent on his second trip to the Apple Emporium is

2.2 + 2.25 + 2.75 = $7.2
