If you are saying losing an electron, so yes every atom needs to be in octate stage(8 electron) in outermost shell and if any atom have one extra electron than it loses electron gains positive charge and became stable by completing octet or duplet. They are found in first column of periodic table.

Examples - Na(sodium)

Compared to neurotransmitters, hormone effects are generally________.
Drupady [299]

Answer:

a. more widespread in the body and affect distant targets.

Explanation:

Hormones are released into the blood by the dustless endocrine glands and the circulating blood delivers hormones to cells throughout the body. Therefore, hormones affect the distantly located cells throughout the body. For instance, growth hormone released by pituitary gland affects soft and hard tissues throughout the body.

On the other hand, the nervous system release neurotransmitters that affect the postsynaptic neuron or the muscle or gland cells present close to the site of their release. Target cells of neurotransmitters are more limited and include muscle (smooth, cardiac, and skeletal) cells, gland cells, and other neurons only.

Describe the forms that water takes through out the water cycle
Aleks [24]

Gas: when the water has evaporated and is now out in the air. Water molecules move super fast during this stage.

Liquid: Water molecules have a good amount of space to move around, but they aren’t traveling as fast as they do in the gastric state.

Solid: ice in other words, the water molecules are super tight and compact, but are still moving around, just not very fast.
