They must be non-linear in their story, they must promote levels of collaboration and also player control. Among such devices that can be used by game story writers we have scripted events, which are defined as small moments of dialogue, or of action within the game that permit a player to acquire the backstory of the game, see character development or redefine his/her goals in the following stages of the game.
