Could cellular respiration happen without photosynthesis? Explain your reasoning.

No it couldn't happen as cellular respiration brake down glucose by the help of O2 to form ATP and co2 while this Glucose was first synthesized by the photosynthesis process without it there wouldn't have been any glucose for cellular respiration to take place

No, because of the glucose involved in both processes:

In photosynthesis ATP and glucose are produced, which are used by the plant in many different processes that have many different vital functions.

Cellular respiration is one of those vital processes, that depend on glucose, which is synthesised during the respiration process so that it can be used.
