Native advertisements are rapidly increasing in social media, web pages and app platforms these days. These kinds of advertisements are <u>paid advertisements that seem to appear and function just like any other media contents</u> that one sees while browsing.

Conflict of interest occurs when <u>one's interests provoke the interest of another person.</u> Native advertisements might represent a conflict of interest in some cases because some<u> users/browsers may fail to distinguish between the main content and the advertisement.</u> Since the format of the advertisements appear fairly similar to the contents, <u>users may also get distracted while browsing.</u>

It may lead to <u>less views of the main content</u> and may drift the interest of the users to some other platforms.
