Well the piaget theory is based on the devlope of intelligence and logic - so to a 4 year old they are not capable of understanding your explanation of "no such thing as monsters." So what would be the best decision is to not tell them it's not real but not feed into their imagination. They are to young to understand if it's not true at their age.

-Hope this helps.

As a parent, you should tell them there isn't anything under the bed. If they are still complaining, then comfort them and show them the truth that there are no monsters under the bed whatsoever.

Hope this helps! Have a good day!

Public goods, like national defense, are usually funded through government because:________
antoniya [11.8K]

Due to the difficulty of denying national security to someone unwilling to pay for it, public goods like national defense are often supported by the government.

Why is it that government funding is typically used to support public goods like the national defense?

National Defense is one of the examples of the public good. If one individual in a particular location is protected against an attack or invasion by a foreign power, other people there are probably similarly protected. Due to the difficulty in charging for defense as a result, it suffers from the well-known free-rider issue. In fact, practically all economists are of the opinion that government action and taxation are the only ways to finance adequate defense.
