What is a Equilibrium

Social Studies

An equilibrium is the point at which any two opposing things are balanced or equal.

Think of a tug of war competition. You could think of equilibrium as the point at which neither side is moving and their pulling force is equal.

Another example could be the state of mind. Equilibrium, when referring to the state of mind or emotional status, is when everything seems to be calm and there are no worries or stressors on your mind and everything seems alright.

One final example will be a math example. According to math, equilibrium is when the solution does not change even if the equation does. For example:

2+2 = 4
3+1 = 4
7-3 = 4

These equations are in equilibrium.

Although I gave three different examples, I am most sure that the answer and example that you were looking for would be along with the first example.

Anyways :P Thanks for the question! I hope this helped! Have an amazing day :D

which of the following characteristics is shared by primal religions and modern religions? a focus on rites of passage that mark
Mrrafil [7]

A focus on rites of passage that mark significant moments in an individual's life is a characteristic shared by primal religions and modern religions.

What is rites of passage ?

A ceremony or ritual known as a rite of passage signifies a person's departure from one group and entrance into another.. It entails a considerable shift in social position. In cultural anthropology, the word "rite of passage" relates to a phrase that was developed by ethnographer Arnold van Gennep and published in his book Les rites de passage, The Rites of Passage. The phrase has now been fully included into anthropology as well as popular culture and literature in many modern languages.

According to van Gennep, rites of passage include three stages: separation, liminality, and inclusion.

 1. People prepare to transition from one status to another during the first phase, which sees them retreat from their existing situation.
 2. When someone leaves one state but has not yet entered or joined the next, they are in the transition phase i.e., liminality.
 3. The third stage (reaggregation or incorporation) sees the completion of the ritual subject and the passage. One enters society with their new status once they have finished the ritual and taken on their "new" persona.

You are an anthropologist observing a new society that no one else has explored. You are trying to determine the subsistence pat
Dima020 [189]

Answer:

The correct answer to the question: Based on these observations, what type of subsistence pattern do you think this group is using, would be: the hunter-gathering system of subsistence.

Explanation:

The case being exposed in this question is the typical example of the nomadic hunter-gatherers. This group of people will tend to be small, and they will subsist entirely on the resources readily available to them from the land and the hunting they can make close to their place of habitation. They did not have a stable place of living and tended to move from place to place in search of new readily, and easily acquirable, resources. They literally depended on what they could gather from plants, and the animals they could hunt from the wild. They did not farm, establish stable dwellings and did not domesticate animals.

If the United States has a trade deficit, what does that mean?
9966 [12]

The correct answer is B. It imports more goods than it exports.

Explanation

The trade deficit is the name by which the negative difference between what a country exports and what that same country imports from other countries is known. This serves as an indicator to analyze the internal and external trade relations of a country. When a country is in a trade deficit, it is when it has imported more goods and services than it has sold abroad. Therefore, if the United States imports more goods and services than it exports, it will be in a trade deficit. So the correct answer is B. It imports more goods than it exports.
