Answer:

Sacrifice(s) for honour and country can make you a better citizen! Sacrificing for duty makes you a better citizen and a better person. It teaches you to be responsible. Sacrificing for honour makes you realise that you aren’t the first and foremost thing in the world. You establish a code of ethics and standard of behaviour for yourself and others. Sacrificing for the country means you are making it a better place for the citizens and teaching others to do the same.

Sacrifices for your country are not always necessary, but if you are in a high position of power and influence, you should take advantage of setting a good example.

Consider your knowledge of word parts, and match each sentence to the word that correctly completes it.
Ilia_Sergeevich [38]

Answer:

After passing her driving test, Lisa felt a sense of lightness.

Please light the candles on the birthday cake.

Patrick did not take the test lightly and studied intensely.

Explanation:

The words "light", "lightly" and "lightness" all signify a different aspect. "Light" is a verb while "lightly" is an adverb and "lightness" is a noun. And so, their uses are also all different, depending on the sentence structure.

In the first sentence, Lisa felt a sense of "lightness" after she passed her driving test. This means that she felt relieved.

The second sentence uses "light", asking someone to "light" the candle. This means that the candle must be made to burn.

The third sentence talks about Patrick not taking his test "lightly" which means that he is serious about it.
