The first step in synthesizing is to A. compare a particular source you are considering to the other sources you have already selected.

Synthesizing consists in taking different sources of information and establishing a relationship between them and the thesis of a research since synthesizing is generally used in research papers. It is possible to include both sources that support the thesis and sources that offer a differing view. Moreover, the first step is to select the sources and compare them in order to create connections. Other steps involved in the process are evaluating the sources and establishing links between them and the thesis.
