If the Union lost the battle of Gettysburg, how might the overall outcome of the Civil war have changed?
olya-2409 [2.1K]

Answer:

The battle of gettysburg was the turning point in the civil war. The south appeared to be winning the war and the north looked like it was close to surrendering. If the Union had lost, they would have ended their chance at winning the civil war. That could mean that if the battle was different, potentially there could still be slavery today.

Ancient mythological and religious tales often ascribe catastrophic events to the anger of God or the gods. Do you think any of
adoni [48]

Answer:

All catastrophes are Natural event, though God uses them to teach and prove to us, that he is God and we are his subject.

Explanation: Catastrophic events can be called natural disasters, which occurs as a result of some natural reactions, which has taken. For example before a flood can occurs, it means that the sea level is high, or they is poor drainage system in that area. For a volcanoes eruption to occur magma must be formed, when the earth mantle melts. Which rises to the surface of the earth.

Just like the earliest recorded disaster, which is the Eruption of Vesuvius in 79AD, which swiped out the city of Pompeii in Rome , killing about 10,000 people. I don't think any God can have this wish to kill 10,000 persons with just one strike. God is a merciful spirit. The Eruption of Vesuvius happened to Rome, a country that has religion all over they empire, that if this natural disasters is caused by God, he won't want to send just to any empire of Rome.

In the olden days many people believes that lightning and thunder are the weapon of the gods upon the evil ones, to strike them to death. For instance if someone wearing a white garment while it is raining with thunderstorms. When thunder and lightning strikes, the person is likely to be caught with the lighting and shrink to death, people will believe that he is evil and the gods has killed him. With a poor knowledge that lightning captures light or white more easily.

People also thinks that when earthquake happens, then the gods have come to fight the wicked, with out know that this is an event lead by the activities of man to it's environment.

The Phanerozoic Eon began approximately 545 million years ago when hard-shelled animals called...
nika2105 [10]

Answer:

Trilobites

Explanation:

The Phanerozoic Eon is characterized by the presence of organisms that possessed hard shells as an adaptation to the environmental conditions. Among these organisms, the most common hard-shelled animals were the trilobites.

Trilobites were present during most of the Paleozoic Era, which belongs to the Phanerozoic Eon. These animals were marine organisms with remarkable and unique phenotypes.

The body of a trilobite was composed of three segments: the cephalon, the thorax, and the pygidium (tail). In addition, they possessed an exoskeleton composed of chitin, which was the reason behind their hard shells. They shed their exoskeletons to be able to grow.

Trilobites are currently extinct.
