1. Yes they both become different people on the outside and on the inside.

2. I believe so because Colin used to be so frail on the outside and now he is walking and can do basic things by himself. Also on the inside he is different because her not always crying and plus he is starting to care about himself and others. Now he believes he has a reason to be on the earth. Mary changed physically because she is not so skinny and bony like. She changed on the outside because she wasn't so "cold" she is now caring and not so spoiled. She also learned to dress herself and not let a maid or servant do it for her.

The correct answer is the following: option D. The structure of the excerpt add meaning to the passage as it manipulates the chronological order or events to reveal the close relationship between Pilar and her father. By altering the chronological order of the narration, the author creates a space within the plot in which Pilar can go back to her memories of her life in Cuba as a child. By doing so the author not only gives depth to the story line but also reveals the close relationship between Pilar and her father.

I'm stuck on what to write for freedom similes and metaphors? help? Thanks!
spin [16.1K]
Freedom related similes and metaphors? Let me think.

- "Freedom is like a free bird" (because it can do freely whatever it wants without noone stopping him)
- "A free slave is like a bird whose been set free from it's cage"
- "Actors and rich men are caged in a prison like locked up birds with no freedom"

I don't have the slightest idea about what to write for metaphors. But, i'll send you a link.
