Using a pencil, paper, and protractor, or a drawing program, draw an isosceles triangle that has exactly one 50° angle. Use the

appropriate geometric markings to label the triangle, angle measures, and congruent sides. Include your drawing in your answer. If another person were given these same instructions, would their drawing look the same or different? Explain your reasoning using complete sentences.

Sorry my lighting is really bad.

Note: my drawing is NOT to scale (because I don't have a protractor)

Ok so an isosceles triangle has 2 congruent sides and 1 other side. That means that the (one) 50° angle is the vertice (edge) of the 2 congruent sides. The vertice of the other sides are 65° because the angles of a triangle add up to 180°.

180°-50°=130°

The other angles are the same so 130° ÷ 2 = 65°

Since the two longer sides are congruent, mark them with one line each.

The other side is different so mark that with two lines.

If another person were given these same instructions, their drawing would look the same.

If you had a protractor, there would be a slight difference but it would still look the same (because a protractor is a tool that is very exact and it is quite accurate).

Also, if you didn't have a protractor, it wouldn't be the same.]

But even if someone else's drawing look different than yours (and mine), but the point would be the same because they know the congruent sides by the markings and they know the angles.

So if another person saw these same instructions and drew the triangle, it would look the same, but it wouldn't be exactly similar.

♡ Hope this helps! ♡

The value of y varies directly with x. If x = 218, then y = 436. What is
adell [148]

Answer:

<h2>x = 7</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the value of the value of x when

y = 14 we must first find the relationship between them

The statement

The value of y varies directly with x is written as

y \:  \:  \:  \alpha  \:  \:  \: kx

where k is the constant of proportionality

when x = 218

y = 436

So we have

436 = 218k

Divide both sides by 218

k = 2

So the formula for the variation is

<h2>y = 2x</h2>

when y = 14

We have

14 = 2x

Divide both sides by 2

<h3>x = 7</h3>

Hope this helps you.

Write a function rule for the table.
Pavlova-9 [17]
The correct answer is:  [C]:  " p = 6.25 h " .
______________________________________________________
Explanation:
______________________________________________________

It is clear that "pay" is a function of "hours worked" ;

So, we can eliminate:  "Choice [B]:  " h = <span>6.25p" .
______________________________________________________
Try, Choice [A]:  " </span>p = h + 12.5 " ; and 14.50 ≠ 12.50 ; (12.50 is the amount shown in the table.  So, we can already eliminate "Choice [A]".
<span>_____________________________________________
Now that we have eliminated choices [A] and [B];

we are left with choices:  [C] and [D]:
_____________________________________________
Consider choice [C]:  " </span><span>p = 6.25h " ;
</span>   when "h = 2" ; does: "p = 12.5" (as shown on table)?? ;

i.e. " 12.5 =? 6.25 * (2) ?? Yes!  This choice is a POSSIBILITY.
_____________________________________________
Consider choice [D]:  " p = 12.5h" .

When "h = 2, does "p = 12.5" (as shown on table)?  No!
   → We can see from this very answer choice
        (the equation itself) that when "h = 2" ;
the value of "p" is DOUBLE [that of "12.5"].
 ________________________________________________
The correct answer is:  Answer choice:  [C]:   " <span>p = 6.25 h " .
