The chef can make 25 cakes

Explaintion:
There is a few ways to solve this but an app say way is to
Multiply the 15 gallons by the denominator of the fraction then divide by 3
So 15x5=75
75/3=25
Therefore the chef can make 25 cakes

Let x1 = 12, y1 = 15, and y2 = 3. Let y vary inversely with x. Find x2.
Ostrovityanka [42]
We have that an inverse variation in a function is given by:
 y = k / x

 We must find the value of the constant k.
 To do this, we substitute the values of x1 = 12, y1 = 15.
 We have then:
 15 = k / 12

 Clearing k we have:
 k = (15) * (12)

k = 180
 Substituting the value of k we have that the inverse variation is:
 y = 180 / x

 For y2 = 3 we have:
 3 = 180 / x2

 Clearing x2 we have:
 x2 = 180/3
 x2 = 60
 Answer:

x2 = 60

How long is the rail? Round your answer to the nearest tenth.
ziro4ka [17]

Answer:

D. 15.7 yards

Step-by-step explanation:

The safety rail makes a curved side of a quarter circle.

The length of the safety rail = circumference of the curved part only of a quarter circle = ¼*2πr

Where,

radius = 10 yards

π = 3.14

Plug in the values

= ¼*2*3.14*10

= 15.7 yards.

✅The rail is 15.7 yards long.

Use Part 1 of the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus to find the derivative of the function.
seropon [69]

Answer:

h'(x)=\frac{3r^{2}}{2\sqrt{r^3+5}}

Step-by-step explanation:

1) The Fundamental Theorem of Calculus in its first part, shows us a reciprocal relationship between Derivatives and Integration

g(x)=\int_{a}^{x}f(t)dt \:\:a\leqslant x\leqslant b

2) In this case, we'll need to find the derivative applying the chain rule. As it follows:

h(x)=\int_{a}^{x^{2}}\sqrt{5+r^{3}}\therefore h'(x)=\frac{\mathrm{d} }{\mathrm{d} x}\left (\int_{a}^{x^{2}}\sqrt{5+r^{3}}\right )\\h'(x)=\sqrt{5+r^{3}}\\Chain\:Rule:\\F'(x)=f'(g(x))*g'(x)\\h'=\sqrt{5+r^{3}}\Rightarrow h'(x)=\frac{1}{2}*(r^{3}+5)^{-\frac{1}{2}}*(3r^{2}+0)\Rightarrow h'(x)=\frac{3r^{2}}{2\sqrt{r^3+5}}

3) To test it, just integrate:

\int \frac{3r^{2}}{2\sqrt{r^3+5}}dr=\sqrt{r^{3}+5}+C
