The change in status for women as they assisted the war effort at home was to play a role in helping them to be able to later on
WARRIOR [948]
What time period was this? women got the right to vote in 1920, when the 19th amendment was ratified, and they could hold political office in Washington state since the upper 1800's. It's arguable that they still don't have equal rights.. but that's the only answer that makes sense if this is talking about the WW time periods.

What were the strengths and weaknesses of the articles of confederation for kids?
noname [10]
The strengths of the Articles of Confederation are few but one of the biggest one is state power. With the Articles of Confederation, states had the ability to make laws that they saw fit for their citizens.

For the weaknesses, the Articles of Confederation had several. One of the biggest ones was the fact the federal government could not collect taxes. This meant it was difficult to generate revenue (aka make money). Along with this, there was no president. This made it difficult, as there was no one individual person that citizens could look to for answers. Lastly, the Articles allowed each state to create their own currency (type of money). These different currencies made it difficult for states to trade with each other.

How did congress try to keep the union together? in your opinion, why did this ultimately fail
Natalija [7]

Congress tried to keep the union together by prodding President Abraham Lincoln into making proposals to South to end the hostilities and to finally have a peaceful resolution. However, there were many problems in making this possible. The only thing congress can do is to simply go along with the president, and they did by enacting laws that gave the president enough authority to confiscate Confederates’ property, which later benefited the Union army.
