take the square root of 220 to get side lengths

which is approximately 0.742

multiply it by 0.05 to scale it

which is approximately 14.832

square it to get the area of the new scaled object

and your left with 0.55ft^2

not; this method is inefficient but I don't remember the amount by which area scales to side lengths :P
