The correct answer is D) They had little training and few supplies.

Some of the problems that American soldiers faced at the beginning of the Spanish-American War were that they had little training and few supplies.

Simply stated the United States troops were not prepared to fight the Spanish army in the Spanish-American War. They lacked military instruction and strength. The American Navy was not as strong as the Spanish Navy. What they did really have was enthusiasm. The United States Army lacked the proper equipment, the proper military training, and the right officers.

The Americans had little to no training and very limited supplies.

This is correct because, well, this is how it went down in history lol.

Good luck!
