The proteins with globular shape are termed as globular proteins. The membrane is bilayer of protein in which the globular proteins are embedded. The core of the membrane is made of tails of phospholipids and does not allow the large and polar substances to pass through it.
The integral globular membrane proteins serve as channel proteins and allow the large proteins to pass through the core of the membrane. These proteins form a channel to allow the specific large molecules to pass through the membrane.
