For trapezoids, the area is:

(B1+B2) x H
-------------------
2

B1 = one of the two sides that are parallel to each other

B2 = the other of the two parallel sides that are equal to each other

H = the height of the shape

So for problem 1, it would look like:

(7+9) x 5
-------------
2

And that would end up being 40 cm^2

For problem 2, it's

(5.7+4.7) x 3.2
--------------------
2

And for problem 3, it's

(5.8+7.4) x 3.9
---------------------
2

Hope that helps!

The graph shows the value of a certain model of car compared with it's age. which statement is true?
s2008m [1.1K]

The only true statement is A:

"The data show a negative linear relationship."

Which statement is true?

On the graph, we can see how the car's vale decreases almost linearly with the age of the car.

Where the response variable would be the one on the y-axis, which is the car's value.

For that linear behavior, we know that there is a correlation coefficient different than zero. So options B, C, and D are false.

Finally, we already saw the linear behavior (decreasing, so the slope is negative). Then we conclude that the only true statement is A.

How do you do inequalities
Alexandra [31]

Answer:

Summary Many simple inequalities can be solved by adding, subtracting, multiplying or dividing both sides until you are left with the variable on its own. But these things will change direction of the inequality: Multiplying or dividing both sides by a negative number. Swapping left and right hand sides
