How do you simplify the radical expression, 24- sqrt(720 over 4
baherus [9]

24- sqrt(720/4) divide 720 by 4

24 - sqrt (180) now break down 180 to 9*4*5

24- sqrt(9) *sqrt(4) *sqrt (5)  so 9becomes 3, 4 becomes 2

24- 3*2*sqrt(5) multiply 3 and 2

24-6sqrt(5)

Hello! Could someone help me with integral, please?
Oksana_A [137]

\displaystyle \int \ln(x)dx\implies \int 1\cdot \ln(x)dx \\\\[-0.35em] ~\dotfill\\\\ \displaystyle u=\ln(x)\implies \cfrac{du}{dx}=\cfrac{1}{x}\hspace{5em}v=\int 1\cdot dx\implies v=x \\\\[-0.35em] ~\dotfill\\\\ \displaystyle \int \ln(x)dx\implies x\ln(x)-\int\cfrac{1}{x}\cdot x\implies x\ln(x)-x+C \\\\[-0.35em] \rule{34em}{0.25pt}\\\\ \left. \cfrac{}{}x\ln(x)-x \right]_{2}^{8}\implies [8\ln(8)-8] -[2\ln(2)-2]\implies 8\ln(8)-2\ln(2)-6

What is the distance between the points (–4, –5) and (5, –1)?
Kamila [148]

Answer:

About 4.39.

Step-by-step explanation:

The distance formula is the square root of ( x2 − x1 ) squared + ( y2 − y1 ) squared. Plugging in our x and y values, you get 4.386342439892262, which rounds up to 4.39.
