See if you look back at history they blamed Osama Bin Laden for the attack on 9/11 so there is no way they had an alliance especially since Osama was wanted in the FBI. In fact the president back then (George W Bush) demanded the Taliban to hand over Osama but the Taliban wanted proof that Osama's involvement in 9/11
