A sphere and a cylinder have the same radius and height. The volume of the cylinder is 48 cm³.
Taya2010 [7]

Answer:

32 cm³

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume of a sphere is:

V_{s}=\frac{4}{3}\pi r^{3}

Volume of a cylinder is:

V_{c} = \pi r^{2} h

The volume of the cylinder is 48 cm³.

The cylinder has the same radius (r) and height (2r) as the sphere.

48 = \pi r^{2} (2r)\\48 = 2\pi r^{3}\\24 = \pi r^{3}

Therefore, the volume of the sphere is:

V_{s}=\frac{4}{3} (24)\\V_{s}=32

In the diagram, segments AD and AB are tangent to circle C. Solve for x.
Irina-Kira [14]
The answer is A !!!!!!!!

the two segments AD and AB are equal therefore if you make the two equal to each other you will get the answer:

<span>x^2+2=11 then you subtract two to put x squared on the side by itself
</span>then you have <span>x^2=9
then all you have to do is take the square root of 9 and </span><span>x^2 and you get x=3
thefore the answer is A</span>

Pls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lesya692 [45]

Answer:

C

Step-by-step explanation:

The table shows a linear function.

The equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

Calculate m using the slope formula

m = \frac{y_{2}-y_{1}  }{x_{2}-x_{1}  }

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (1, 3) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (2, 7) ← 2 ordered pairs from the table

m = \frac{7-3}{2-1} = 4, thus

y = 4x + c ← is the partial equation

To find c substitute any ordered pair into the partial equation

Using (1, 3), then

3 = 4 + c ⇒ c = 3 - 4 = - 1

y = 4x - 1 → C
