Well, you need a teddy bear and a freshly hatched duckling. The process of imprinting is more or less achieved via having the bear be the first thing the duckling sees when it wakes up.

kupik [55]

Answer:

b. Lie detector tests necessarily require people to tell intimate details about private issues unrelated to the question at hand.

Explanation:

Elaine may hesitate to take the test because lie detector tests necessarily require people to tell intimate details about private issues unrelated to the question at hand.

When taking the lie detector test, there are control questions which are designed to control for the effect of the generally threatening nature of relevant questions. These control questions may sometimes be private issues or topics that may dent the test takers image even though they pass the test for the particular crime they are suspected of. This a reason why even innocent individuals are hesitant to take the test. For example Elaine may be asked if she has stolen from a previous employee before, even though this does not affect the question at hand, a positive response to that question will dent Elaine image in the organization even though she passes the test on embezzlement.

An event last 5 hours and 30 minutes. How long did the event las in seconds?
tia_tia [17]

Here: First, you multiply the hours into minutes, so 60 minute is 1 hour, so 5 x 60 (Or 60 x 5) = 300, then since those are minutes, add the 30 minutes you have, 300 + 30 = 330, then multiply the minutes into seconds, which would be 330 x 60 (Or 60 x 330) = 19800 since there are 60 seconds in a minute, so your answer would be 19800 seconds.

Why did trade along the silk road flourish during the time of Han,Kushan,Parthian, and Roman empires
NNADVOKAT [17]
Trade flourished because these progressing empires were developing new ways to produce products and utilize agriculture in their areas, such as Han with silk and Rome with olives and fishing/seafaring. These empires has never had access to goods that were from other areas before the Silk road, causing trade to become immensely popular and relied upon.
