If a= -2, we plug -2 in replacement of a.
7(-2) + 3 = ?
Multiply before adding.
-14 + 3.
-11 is the answer for A.
If y= -8, we plug in -8 in replacement for y.
-3 x -8 (multiplying two negatives makes a positive).
-24 -(9) = ?
Subtracting a negative from a negative is basically adding to the negative.
-33 is the answer for Y.
I hope this helps!

Gretchen has a set of blocks of heights 1, 2, and 4-centimeters. Imagine stacking the blocks one on top of the other to make a t
notsponge [240]

Answer:

t_{n}=t_{n-1}+t_{n-2} +t_{n-4}

Step-by-step explanation:

t_{n}=multiple ways to climb a tower

When n = 1,

tower= 1 cm

t_{1}= 1

When n = 2,

tower =2 cm

t_{2}= 2

When n = 3,

tower = 3 cm

it can be build if we use three 1 cm blocks

t_{3} = 3

When n = 4,

tower= 4 cm

it can be build if we use four 1 cm blocks

t_{4} = 6

When n > 5

tower height > 4 cm

so we can use 1 cm, 2 cm and 4 cm blocks

so in that case if our last move is 1 cm block then t_{n-1} will be

n —1 cm

if our last move is 2 cm block then t_{n-2} will be

n —2 cm

if our last move is 4 cm block then t_{n-4} will be

n —4 cm

t_{n}=t_{n-1}+t_{n-2} +t_{n-4}

How many tons are equal to 36,000 pounds?
patriot [66]

Hello There! I'll be glad to help you! :0

Question:

How many tons are equal to 36,000 pounds?

Answer:

<h2><u><em>18 tons </em></u></h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

<em>To convert a pound measurement to a ton measurement, divide the weight by the conversion ratio.</em>

<em />

<em>Since one ton is equal to 2,000 pounds, you can use this simple formula to convert:</em>

<em />

<em>tons = pounds ÷ 2,000</em>

<em>The weight in tons is equal to the pounds divided by 2,000.</em>

<em />

<em>And you could multiply 2,000 by 18 and get the answer 36,000</em>

<em />

<em />

Hope This Helps you!

Have an Amazing day!

Which of the following is a like radical to mc001-1.jpg?
mixer [17]
You haven't provided the expression or the choices, therefore, I cannot provide an exact answer.
However, I'll try to help you understand the concept so that you can solve the question you have

Like radicals are characterized by the following:
1- They both have the same root number (square root, cubic root , ...etc)
2- They both have the same radicand (meaning that the expression under the root is the same in both radicals)

Examples of like radicals:
3\sqrt{xyz} and 7\sqrt{xyz}
\sqrt[5]{x^2y} and 3\sqrt[5]{x^2y}

Check the choices you have. The one that satisfies the above two conditions would be your correct choice

Hope this helps :)
