I would say that most of the immigrants to the US in the 1800's and perhaps early 1900's moved west to take up homesteading on free land as the American government had a very wise policy of granting free land to those hardy pioneers who were willing to work it so in that way they were able to settle the mid-West and West and that explains the long covered wagon trains heading west to begin settlements at different places on the Great Plains.

What did they call the red Sea back then
Shalnov [3]

The first people known to explore the Red Sea were the Ancient Egyptians, who explored the area c. 2500 BC while looking for commercial routes southward. So how did the Red Sea get its name? Theories abound, but no one knows for sure.

It could be from the red-hued "sea sawdust," a type of bacteria that grows near the water's surface. Some historians believe the Red Sea is named for the Himyarites, a group who once lived along it's shores.  Others believe that the "red" in Red Sea is actually a designator of the Sea's location relative to the ancient Mediterranean world - to the South. In ancient languages, the colors black, red, green, and white referred to North, South, East, and West, respectively.

Arisa [49]

Answer:

The theory of social Darwinism differs greatly from the work of Andrew Carnegie, since the theory that was used, argued two types of races one cultural and one wild and that by natural selection the second will disappear, while Carnegei dedicated his life to being a philanthropist convinced to help the most disadvantaged, giving economic support to thousands of people and generating aid that the natural selection raised by Darwin does not generate society
