(Not exactly sure what you meant by 'falling pregnant' but I'll try to answer anyway) Adolescents who have sexual intercourse are at risk for a numerous amount of harmful STIs and/or STDs. They could be exposed to unwanted bacteria or infections. They are at risk for an early/unexpected pregnancy and health risk factors. Pregnancy risks are birthing defects, irregular periods/ the menstrual cycle stops during pregnancy. Alcohol and drug use can harm an unborn child if used during pregnancy. If the girl was unprepared for her child she could run into family trouble, financial trouble etc. I hope this answers your question.

Which of the following lines uses figurative language?
tia_tia [17]

The line that uses figurative language is the last one: The girl's eyes were deep blue oceans.

Figurative language refers to the use of figures of speech to make a literary text more impactful and to develop a more creative writing. Some forms of figurative language are simile, metaphor and personification. In the case of the line "The girl's eyes were deep blue oceans", there is a metaphor since a thing (the deep blue oceans) is regarded as representative of something else (the girl's eyes). In that way, the author is describing the girl's eyes by means of a comparison that, at the same time, should not been taken literally.

Part C
victus00 [196]

Answer: The author indicates that her family is very interested in athletics. For example, she notes that her father picked up “my brother, Brett, from hockey practice.” Raisman spent a lot of time at gymnastics practice, and she describes her mother being “sure to tape” any gymnastics competitions on television for the family to watch. She describes gymnastics practice as one of her most common activities apart from doing homework, which suggests that she is often working on her sport. These details reveal that her family participates in and appreciates sports.
