HELP PLEASE!!Refer to the image shown to answer the question. If a light ray strikes the shiny surface at 70 degrees, what is th

e measurement of the reflected ray?
Incident rays are shown at 10, 30, 50, and 70 degrees. The line at 90 degrees is labeled normal. Reflected rays are shown at 110, 130, 150 and 170 degrees.

Answer:

110 degrees

Explanation:

The incident ray is the ray of light that strikes the surface. This will form an angle with the perpendicular or normal (90 degrees) known as the angle of incidence.

This ray in turn will get reflected from the surface at an angle known as the angle of reflection. If the surface is non-scattering (specular) as it is here, then the angle of reflection and incidence are always identical.

Thus, in this example, the 70 degrees ray will have an incidence angle of 20 degrees (90-70=20). As a result, the reflected ray will also have a 20 degree angle which gives a 110 reflected ray (90+20= 110).

erastova [34]

The brain's interpretation of raw sensory inputs is known as Perception.

Here, when Amanda notices a tree which is brown, has a rough texture, and is solid. Although individually these characteristics do not define a tree, when combined, they do. So, perceptual binding process allows her to identify the object as a tree.

Perceptual binding is the process of merging individual bits of sensory information into logical representations.

Answer:

If the Tamiflu-resistance gene involves a cost, it will experience directional selection leading to reduction in its frequency.

Explanation:

The new virus will be resistant to Tamiflu. The Tamiflu resistance gene will become common in the environment due to directional selection. Directional selection can be described as a condition in which one phenotype is favoured such that the phenotype becomes abundant in an area and hence the allele frequency of the area changes. This occurs because that phenotype is better adapted to survive in an environment.
