What happens to ADP after ATP hydrolysis?

Biology

Answer:

The correct answer would be It is used to make ATP.

ATP (adenosine triphosphate) is hydrolysed to produce ADP (adenosine diphosphate), inorganic phosphate, and energy.

ATP + H₂O → ADP + Pi + energy.

The energy released is used by cell for its metabolic activities.

The ADP released is recycled to produce ATP with the help of energy. The reaction is usually catalyzed by ATP synthase located in the inner mitochondrial membrane.

It uses the energy produced by the chemiosmosis of protons. The protons are transported down the concentration gradient through the ATP synthase. It generates energy which is used by the ATP synthase to phosphorylate ADP into ATP.

ADP + Pi + energy → ATP + H₂O

What is a beneficial association between the roots of a plant and a fungus?
Gnom [1K]

Answer: Mycorrhiza

Explanation: Mycorrhiza is a symbiotic relationship between a plant and a fungi. Nearly 80 percent of all plants with root systems participate in this mutualistic relationship. In mycorrhiza, the fungus forms a haustoria that penetrates the cell walls of the plant's roots. The fungus absorbs all the nutrients from the roots as they are transported to the plant. In return, the fungus gives the plant necessary chemicals and minerals that it cannot properly reach on its own.

Based on the concept of the global conveyor belt, what happens to ocean water as it moves from Antarctica to the equator?
marta [7]

What happens to the ocean water as it moves from Antarctica to the equator is : ( B ) It becomes less dense and rises to the surface.

Concept conveyor belt

The conveyor belt is a system of oceans which transports water and propel deep current of water bodies across the globe based on the differences in water densities.

As the ocean water moves from the Antarctica to the equator the cold ocean water mixes with the warm ocean water at the equator, which makes the water less dense and rises to the surface.

Hence we can conclude that What happens to the ocean water as it moves from Antarctica to the equator is It becomes less dense and rises to the surface.
