Which sentence contains a dangling modifier?
Alex_Xolod [135]
The sentence that contains the dangling modifier is this: IN A RUSH, THE SLOW TRAFFIC WAS GRATING ON MY NERVES.
A dangling modifier refers to an ambiguous grammatical expression, that is constructed in such a way that, it makes it very easy for the grammatical modifier in the sentence to be associated with the wrong word or with no word at all.
Sentences with dangling modifiers should be re-written in such a way that it will be very easy to recognize the word that  the modifier is modifying.
In the statement given in option A, it can be seen that it is very difficult to know who or what the rush is referring to; we can not say for sure may be it is the writer that is in a rush or may it is the slow traffic that is grating her nerves in a rushing manner.<span />

What could happen if people take antibiotics when they do not need them?Support your answer with evidence from the text.
vagabundo [1.1K]

Answer:

Not gonna write an essay here nor do I have access to your text. But:

Taking antibiotics with a broad spectrum range kills the normal flora found in your body. This puts you at a greater risk for infection.

Also, misusing antibiotics when we have no specific target to kill (like Staph. Aureus) is what has lead to increased genetic restance of antibiotics by microorganisms.

Elena L [17]

In both comparisons, the beloved person, as well as the affection towards they, has to do with emotions. Talking about a red rose that is fresh, lovable and that represents love, more specifically passionate, deep and intense love. The poem also says many times the word red, which is used to emphasize the intense emotions.

The second comparison about a melody makes reference to how beautiful peaceful and at the same time passionate and harmonious a melody can be, just the way the speaker and they beloved interact in their connection
