Which question could a reader ask to help gauge whether a narrator is unreliable ?
s2008m [1.1K]

D. Does the narrator see the world as most people see it?

A narrator can refer to present events or recall events from the past, and can pay attention to certain details rather than others because they relate to the events he or she is narrating. Feeling emotions towards others is natural, and therefore, not a sign of unreliability, although it might lead to bias in some cases. However, all these elements may exist within a common ground with the reader. While if the narrator's view of the world differs from that of most people, this may lead to distortion of the narrated facts or their circumstances.

Ben growled when I walked into his room. He barked at me to close the door as he lumbered back to his desk. He is such a bear in
wariber [46]
I believe the answer is B, an extended metaphor.
It can't be A because similes are comparing two unlike things using the words "like" or "as", which will also eliminate D.
It can't be C because a personification is where an inanimate object is given human-like qualities.

Throughout the entire passage, the author compares Ben to a bear and uses words such as "growled", "barked", "lumbered" which shows how the comparison between the two is prolonging throughout the passage.
