P=710ft
Side AB=310 ft
Side DC=310 ft
Side AD=side BC
P of rectangle is AB+DC+AD+BC
710=310+310+2AD
710=620+2AD
710-620=620+2AD-620
90=2AD
90/2=2AD/2
45=AD
Both sides are parallel so they are same
So other 2 sides are 45ft each.

Find the exact value of x
Anna35 [415]
$5\cdot8^{4x}=376$
$(8^4)^x=\frac{376}{5}$
$x=\log_{8^4}{75,2}$
$x=\frac{\log75,2}{\log8^4}$
$x=\frac{\log75,2}{4\log8}$

Find the coordinates of the midpoint of the segment whose endpoints are h(6,4) and k(2,8)
ozzi

Answer:

(4,6)

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The formula to calculate the coordinates of the midpoint between two points is equal to

M(\frac{x1+x2}{2},\frac{y1+y2}{2})

we have that

The coordinates of hk

h(6,4), k(2,8)

substitute in the formula to calculate the midpoint

M(\frac{6+2}{2},\frac{4+8}{2})

M(\frac{8}{2},\frac{12}{2})

M(4,6)

What is the slope that passes through 2,5 and -1,5
Delicious77 [7]
The slope of the line that passes through the points (2,5) and (-1,5) is 0: it is an horizontal line, because both points have the same y-coordinate. The equation of the line is y=5.

For any two points (x1,y1), (x2,y2), the slope, m, of the line that passes through them can be calculated with:

m= \dfrac{\Delta y}{\Delta x} = \dfrac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}

where \Delta y,\ \Delta x represent the increment on the y direction and the increment on the x direction, respectively.

This comes from the definition of "slope": the slope of a line tells you how much does the line grow in the vertical direction for every unit of advance in the x direction.

If you apply the formula to the points given, you get \Delta y=5-5=0.
