As new technology arises there are many new platforms to connect with people. There is a constant flow of information which has become a big part of ones everyday life, something reliable that we begin to trust, which makes it easy to share information about yourself. This can lead to strangers knowing things you don't want them to know. You can protect yourself from this by only connecting to friends or people that are connected to friends, reviewing the privacy settings for any site you use, and avoiding social media unless on a personal network.
