6200.07 = 6.2 × 10^c + 7 × 10^d
Work out the values of c and d.
Nina [5.8K]

Answer: We have c = 3 and d = -2

Step-by-step explanation:

We want to solve the equation:

6200.07 = 6.2x10^c + 7x10^d

First, we can separate the left number into two pieces:

6200.07 = 6200 + 0.07 = 6.2x10^c + 7x10^d

Now we can solve it as:

6200 = 6.2x10^c

6200/6.2 = 10^c

1000 = 10^c

now we can use that if y = a^x, then ln(y)/ln(a) = x

here we have:

c = ln(1000)/ln(10) = 3

and

0.07 = 7x10^d

0.07/7 = 10^d

0.01 = 10^d

d = ln(0.01)/ln(10) = -2

Part 1:
Delicious77 [7]

Based on the triangle sum theorem and the triangle inequality theorem:

1. B. 23°, 67°, 90°.

2. A. 1 cm, 2 cm, 3 cm.

What is the Triangle Sum Theorem?

According to the triangle sum theorem, all three interior angles of any triangle has a sum of 180 degrees.

What is the Triangle Inequality Theorem?

Based on the triangle inequality theorem, one side of a triangle must be less than or equals the sum of any other two sides of the triangle. (a + b ≥ c).

Part 1:

23° + 67° + 90° = 180°, therefore, based on the triangle sum theorem, the set of angle measures that could be the interior angles of a triangle is: B. 23°, 67°, 90°.

Part 2:

1 + 2 = 3

1 + 3 > 2

2 + 3 > 1

Therefore, based on the triangle inequality theorem, the set of side lengths that could be that of the sides of a triangle is: A. 1 cm, 2 cm, 3 cm.

Solve for x.

5+x+(−2)=−8
Feliz [49]
5+x+(−2)=−8
Simplify
5 + x - 2 = -8
x + 3 = -8
Subtract 3 to both sides
x + 3 - 3 = -8 +3
Simplify
x = -5
