In the passage it is described that Heidi has gone to Frankfurt as a household worker in one wealthy family. But she misses her grandfather’s place so much because of the fact that, that place was very close to nature. Those mountain peaks, the shining sun, the beautiful sunsets, everything was just so peaceful.
