The internal angles in a triangle add up to 180
I think the question should say
'2 angles in a triangle add up to 115 degrees'
so therefor
x+y+z=180
2 angles are x+y
115+z=180
z=3rd angle
solve
115+z=180
subtract 115 from boths ides
z=65
answer is third angle=65 degrees
I actually posted this a while ago and it got answerd by a smart person so here's what I understood
the error is that it assumes that √(x²)=x
because if x is negative, it becomes positive
that's how the 2nd line is wrong
the 2nd line is the first wrong step
it goes from 4-9/2+9/2
so it goes from 4-4.5+4.5
notice the part under the parenthsees
√((4-4.5)²)
if we evaluate 4-4.5, we get -0.5
but by squaring it we get 0.5
-0.5+4.5=4, yes
but when we square it we get
0.5+4.5=5, that is how it works
The cost of buying salad per pound) is more than or equal to $4.50
Step-by-step explanation:
We know from the problem that the salad is going to cost at least $4.50 per pound. Therefore, it is entirely possible for the cost to exceed $4.50, but it cannot be lower than $4.50 because then it would not be equal to $4.50.
So, there would be a greater-than sign pointing toward the s (which I seemingly cannot depict on here for some reason...)
