Describe the role of plate tectonics for volcanic eruptions, continent formation, seafloor spreading, and mountain formation.
d1i1m1o1n [39]

Answer:

Plate tectonics are responsible for the following events by:-

Explanation:

Plate tectonics are parts of the crust which is moved by the mantle of the Earth.

The Crust is divided into parts called "Tectonic Plates"!

When tectonic plates move they cause some sorts of anomalies, and some of those anomalies are the ones in the question.

When there are two tectonic plates move towards each other, they form mountains, or when wo tectonic plates move away from each other, they cause the sea floor to expand!

Sometimes, they can cause dangerous accidents because of the vibration of the tectonic plates. These vibrations can cause volcanic eruption and tsunamis and Earth quakes.

When these volcanic eruptions occur, they can form underwater volcanoes, and make new islands, which can lead to continent formation!

I hope this answer helps, and I also hope this answer is what you are looking for!

An isloated point charge produce an electric field with magnitude E at a point 2 m away. At a point 1 m from the charge magnitud
Nina [5.8K]

Answer:

the correct answer is C,      E’= 4E

Explanation:

In this exercise you are asked to calculate the electric field at a given point

         E = k \frac{q}{r^2}

indicates that the field is E for r = 2m

         E = \frac{ k q}{4}                  (1)

the field is requested for a distance r = 1 m

         E ’= k \frac{q}{r'^2}

         E ’= k q / 1

from equation 1

         4E = k q

we substitute

        E’= 4E

so the correct answer is C

A car sits in an entrance ramp to a freeway, waiting for a break in the traffic. The driver sees a small gap between a van and a
masya89 [10]

Answer:

1

  a =  2.82 \  m/s^2

2

 t =  8.87 \  s

3

 s =  204 \  m

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

   The  speed of the car is  v  =  25.0 \  m/s

   The length of the ramp is  d =  111 \ m

   The  constant velocity of the traffic v_t  =  23.0 \  m/s

Generally the acceleration of the car is mathematically represented as

           a =  \frac{v^2  -  u^2 }{2d}

Here  u is  equal to zero given that the car started from rest so

           a =  \frac{25^2 - 0^2 }{2 *  111}

       =>    a =  2.82 \  m/s^2

Generally the time taken is mathematically represented as

      t = \frac{ v - u}{ a}

=>   t  = \frac{ 25 - 0}{2.82}

=>   t =  8.87 \  s

The  distance traveled by the traffic is mathematically represented as

  s =  v_{t}t + \frac{1}{2} a t^2

Here  a is zero given that the traffic was moving at constant speed

=>    s  =  23 *  8.87

=>     s =  204 \  m
