Answer:

C

Explanation:

I think its C . A transcriptional repressor usually represses the transcription pathway when its active. According to the question, the repressor is not usually active until an effector molecule binds to it making it active and blocking the transcription pathway. So if the region where the effector binds on the repressor is mutated i.e. it turns nonfunctional that means the effector cannot bind to repressor which means repressor cannot become active to block transcription which in turn increases the transcription of gene A because repressor cannot repress it since it is inactive due to its inability to bind to the effector.

How do enzymes influence the amount of activation energy needed?
ser-zykov [4K]

What your cells have to help overcome a problem of high activation energy are called enzymes. Enzymes are proteins that lower the activation energy of a reaction. In doing this, enzymes increase the rate of a reaction, helping it to occur faster. However, enzymes are not consumed in a reaction; they simply help it to occur.

Enzymes make things easier for your cells to work properly and help chemical reactions occur. There are hundreds of different kinds of enzymes in your cells, which all participate in different types of reactions. Enzymes can break molecules apart, build or add molecules, and even rearrange them.

In lowering the activation energy of a reaction, enzymes decrease the barrier to starting a reaction. It's important to note, however, that the change in energy remains the same between the start and end of a chemical reaction.

In flowering plants, plasmodesmata are narrow channels through cell walls that connect the cytoplasms of adjacent cells. AN expl
tatiyna

The plant cells communicate across cell walls through Plasmodesmata.

how do plant cells communicate across cell walls?

  • Between tiny channels woven through the walls of neighboring plant cells, plant cells can communicate with one another through channels referred to as plasmodesmata.
  • These channels enable chemicals to move freely between cells, allowing plants to grow regularly and form tissues and organs.
  • However, plasmodesmata also act as entryways that viruses can employ to infect an increasing number of cells.
  • Given these advantages and disadvantages, plants must balance the permeability of their plasmodesmata in order to move materials from one cell to another while preventing the spread of infection.
