(x - 2 < 5) ∩ (x + 7 > 6)

Let's resolve each one

x - 2 < 5

x < 5 + 2

x < 7

x + 7 > 6

x > 6 - 7

x > -1

So we have 2 conditions: x > -1 and x < 7 plus, we need the values that's equal in x < 7 and x > -1 because we have an intersection

S = {x e R / -1 < x < 7}

A baseball team ordered 12 jerseys. Each jersey costs the same amount. The shipping cost for the jerseys was $3 and the total co
Burka [1]

Lets say each jersey cost x,

then 12 jerseys will cost 12x

Total costs will then be 12x + 3, 12x of costs plus $3 of shipping

We already know that the total cost is $99

so 12x + 3 = 99

Now isolate x by subtracting 3 from both sides

12x 3 - 3 = 99 - 3

12x = 96

Now divide both sides by 12 to find x

12/12x = 96/12

x = 8

Each jersey cost $8

Answer: You can use the equation 12x + 3 = 99 to find the cost of each jersey

Hope it helps :)

8 \frac{1}{2} =  \frac{17}{2}

\frac{17}{2} / \frac{3}{4}

  \frac{17}{2} * \frac{4}{3} = \frac{34}{3}

= 11\frac{1}{3}

Write the equation of the line given the points (2,0) and (3.-1)
Juli2301 [7.4K]

Answer:

y = -1x + 2

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to find y = mx + b

Use the following equation

\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

Plug in the values

\frac{-1-0}{3-2}  = \frac{-1}{1} = -1

We have found the slope(m) which is -1

We have to find y-int b

Plug in any given x,y into the slope formula

-1 = -1(3) + b

-1 = -3 + b

2 = b

At last the formula is

y = -1x + 2
