The Battle of Tippecanoe was an armed conflict of 1811 between the United States of America represented by the forces of the governor of Indiana William Henry Harrison and the native Americans represented by the forces of the confederation of Tecumseh. The battle took place outside Prophetstown, near Battle Ground, Indiana. And it was part of the event sometimes referred to as the Tecumseh War, which would continue in the War of 1812. The battle was a major political event and a flagship victory for the American armies.
